Chimney Sweeping: How it works

(1) Initial entry and inspection

Chimney Sweeping might traditionally be a dirty job, but here at CR Stoves we like to keep things clean!

When we enter your property we will place dust sheets to protect the area around your stove or fireplace to create a clean work environment ensuring your room is not affected by the soot we’ll remove from the chimney. Additionally, depending on weather conditions and your type of flooring, we will also place dust sheets to protect our entry onto your property.

We will also take this opportunity to inspect your fireplace or stove along with the chimney so that we can select the correct brush to ensure your chimney gets a great clean.

(2) Sealing your stove or fireplace

Our precautions to keep your room clean as we do our work don’t end with just placing a few dust sheets in your floor! We also use purpose built sheets and high grade masking take to create a seal around your fireplace (where possible), thus preventing soot from entering your room whist sweeping your chimney.

(3) Power Sweeping

Once we’ve created a clean work environment we’ll using our Power Sweeping equipment to give your chimney the best clean it can have.

Using drill power professional sweeping system allow us to give your chimney a superior clean, and with our varied selection of specialized brushes and rods we can ensure we always the equipment best suited to your type of chimney or liner.

(4) Vacuuming

We use professional industrial vacuums designed to handle Hazardous dust (Soot) to your clean around your stove, fireplace, access hatch and hearth as required. We believe you should never be cleaning after your cleaners! Therefore, we’ll always to do our best to leave your home clean and free of any excess soot.
